This Spaniel Hunt Test is held under the Rules and Procedures of the American Kennel Club.

Eligible Breeds for Spaniel Hunting Tests: Airedale Terriers, American Water Spaniels, Boykin Spaniels, Chesapeake Bay Retrievers, Clumber Spaniels, Cocker Spaniels, Curly-Coated Retrievers, English Cocker Spaniels, English Springer Spaniels,Field Spaniels, Flat-Coated Retrievers, Golden Retrievers, Irish Water Spaniels, Labrador Retrievers, Nederlandse Kooikerhondje, Nova Scotia Duck Tolling Retrievers, Poodles - Standard and Miniature, Sussex Spaniels, and Welsh Springer Spaniels.
All dogs must be six months of age or over on the day of the Hunting Test.

The Minnesota Hunting Spaniel Association invites you to join us for our two Fall 2022 AKC Licensed Spaniel Hunting Tests to be held on Saturday, Sept. 3 & Sunday, Sept. 4 at Good GoIng Hunt Club in Baldwin, WI.

ADDITIONAL EVENT INFORMATION


All participants and spectators MUST wear an article of blaze orange, no smaller than a hat, while in the field. A vest, shirt or jacket is preferred.

Only flat collars are allowed on the test grounds.

Smoking will not be allowed in the fields.

Severe training, correcting, or disciplining of dogs will not be permitted on the Hunt Test Grounds.

Please bring adequate water for your dogs and yourself. Be prepared to provide water for your dog while in the field.

DRAWINGS/RUNNING ORDER

Drawings will take place at Huntsecretary.com 8:00 AM ET on 8/24/2022. The Running Order will be electronically randomized and adjusted slightly to accommodate handlers running multiple dogs.

 

SCRATCHES
Scratches prior to closing date will be refunded by HuntSecretary.com.
 
After the closing date, all scratches will be handled based on the Club Scratch Policy specified below.

Club Scratch Policy
Entry fees will not be refunded in the event a dog is absent, disqualified, excused by the judge or barred from the test by action of the hunt test committee.

Entry fees will be refunded minus a $5 handling charge per day for bitches in season or dogs injured after the closing date if a veterinarian certificate is presented to the hunt test secretary.

No entry fee will be refunded if the test cannot be opened or completed by reason of riots, civil disturbance, an act of God, public emergency, act of a public enemy, or any other cause beyond the control of the committee.


EVENT WAITLIST POLICY (After the close)

Wait-listed dogs BEFORE the closing date will be added across all stake levels (For Example: a senior hunter scratch could result in a dog being added to the master level test).

After the closing date, the wait list will utilized  based on the Club's Wait-list policy below.

 I certify that I am the actual owner of the dog, or that I am the duly authorized agent of the actual owner whose name I have entered above. In consideration of the acceptance of this entry, I (we) agree to abide by the rules and regulations of The American Kennel Club in effect at the time of this event, and any additional rules and regulations appearing in the premium list of this event and entry form and any decision made in accord with them. I (we) agree that the club holding this event has the right to refuse this entry for cause which the club shall deem sufficient. I (we) certify and represent that the dog entered is not a hazard to persons or other dogs. In consideration of the acceptance of this entry and of the holding of this event and of the opportunity to have the dog judged and to win prizes, ribbons, or trophies, I (we) agree to hold the AKC, the event-giving club, their members, directors, governors, officers, agents, superintendents or event secretary and the owner and/or lessor of the premises and any provider of services that are necessary to hold this event and any employees or volunteers of the aforementioned parties, and any AKC approved judge, judging at this event, harmless from any claim for loss or injury which may be alleged to have been caused directly or indirectly to any person or thing by the act of this dog while in or about the event premises or grounds or near any entrance thereto, and I (we) personally assume all responsibility and liability for any such claim; and I (we) further agree to hold the aforementioned parties harmless from any claim for loss, injury or damage to this dog.
