WELCOME STATEMENT

Fellow Field Trial Competitors and Enthusiasts,

The Stockton English Springer Spaniel Training Club (SESSTC) is pleased to invite you to our Cocker Spaniel Field Trials to be held on Feb 10, 11 and 12, 2023 at Clear Creek Ranch in Corning, CA 96021. Cocker Open FTs will be held on Feb 10th and Feb 11th, 2023. The Cocker Puppy FT will be held on Friday, Feb 10th, beginning after the 2nd series of the Cocker Open. On Saturday, Feb 11th, the Club will be hosting the Cocker Open concurrently with the ESS Open, starting with the ESS and then alternating with the Cockers. If there is not enough daylight to finish the third series of the Cocker Open on Saturday Feb 11th, the third series will be held in the morning on Sunday, Feb 12th. Use this premium to enter the Cocker FTs.

Judges for Open FTs: Chad Betts from Kansas and Katie Gorecki from Minnesota.
Judges for Puppy FT: Renee Shannon and Gordon Johnson, both from CA.

Friday, Saturday and Sunday awards will be presented on the grounds immediately after the trials.

No training is allowed on the grounds prior to the event. Dogs must be aired in specific areas. A map will be posted at the check station parking lot. Blaze Orange is required to be worn above the waist by all participants and observers. Protective eye-wear is recommended for everyone on the grounds.

DRAWINGS/RUNNING ORDER

Drawings will take place at Huntsecretary.com 8:00 AM ET on 1/31/2023. The Running Order will be electronically randomized and adjusted slightly to accommodate handlers running multiple dogs.

 

SCRATCHES
Scratches prior to closing date will be refunded by HuntSecretary.com.
 
After the closing date, all scratches will be handled based on the Club Scratch Policy specified below.

Follow the directions below to Clear Creek Ranch. Do not go to the 19560 Glenn Rd address.

Our morning meeting area will be held near a building about 100 feet south of the Clear Creek Office. Please check in to receive your catalog and sign a waiver. The trial grounds are a short distance away from the office and may require the use of your vehicle.

Speed Limit of 15 mph is required on the gravel road throughout the property.

Directions:

1. Club Headquarters is located off the Liberal Exit on Interstate 5.
2. Go West on Liberal, and turn left on Barham Avenue immediately after the freeway overpass.
3. Follow road past Rolling Hills Casino. You will pass a Gas Station and road will turn to gravel.
4. Welcome Clear Creek sign marks the entrance to the 2-mile long driveway that takes you around the golf course.
5. Continue to the house/Clear Creek Office/Trailer/RV camping area for check in.


All dry camping with trailers/RVs will be near the office for a fee.

In consideration of the acceptance of this entry, I (we) agree to abide by the rules and regulations of The American Kennel Club in effect at the time of this event, and any additional rules and regulations appearing in the premium list of this event and entry form and any decision made in accord with them. I (we) agree that the club holding this event has the right to refuse this entry for cause which the club shall deem sufficient. I (we) certify and represent that the dog entered is not a hazard to persons or other dogs. In consideration of the acceptance of this entry and of the holding of this event and of the opportunity to have the dog judged and to win prizes, ribbons, or trophies, I (we) agree to hold the AKC, the event-giving club, their members, directors, governors, officers, agents, superintendents or event secretary and the owner and/or lessor of the premises and any provider of services that are necessary to hold this event and any employees or volunteers of the aforementioned parties, and any AKC approved judge, judging at this event, harmless from any claim for loss or injury which may be alleged to have been caused directly or indirectly to any person or thing by the act of this dog while in or about the event premises or grounds or near any entrance thereto, and I (we) personally assume all responsibility and liability for any such claim; and I (we) further agree to hold the aforementioned parties harmless from any claim for loss, injury or damage to this dog.
