WELCOME STATEMENT

Dear Fellow Field Trialers:

The Tamarin Spaniel Club cordially invites you to our 67th annual AKC licensed Spring trial, March 3rd, March 4th, and March 5th, 2023 at Gray Lodge Wildlife Refuge west of Gridley, CA. This year we will have two days of Springer Spaniel field trials Saturday 3/4/23 and Sunday 3/5/23, including a Puppy stake and a water test on Friday 3/3/23, while the Cocker field trials will be Friday 3/3/23 and Saturday 3/4/23. We are pleased to have Dan Lussen and Kevin McGlin as our ESS judges, while sharing duties with Greg Kuhlman as Cocker judges.
A visitor permit envelope is required to be filled out. A $4 fee is only required if you do not have a valid California hunting and/or fishing license. See the details below.

**Please Note: Due to the Avian Influenza crisis in California, we have a limited supply of birds for the Tamarin trial and must cap our entries.
ESS: Maximum dog entries each day = 30
ECS: Maximum dog entries each day = 15

Once the maximum of entries is reached, that specific event will close, and a waiting list will be created.


Field trial headquarters will be at the Gray Lodge check-in station and parking lot. Awards for ESS Open, ESS Amateur, Cocker Open, and Puppy Stakes, will be presented at the trial grounds following each event.

Permit Required
*If you bring a valid California hunting and/or fishing license no fee is required, but you must still fill out a parking permit envelope.
All Participants need a daily permit which can be obtained at the field trial headquarters.
A one-day pass without a valid California hunting and/or fishing license is $4.00.

There will be an announced start day and time to enter. Once the maximum of entries is reached, that specific event will close, and a waiting list will be created.


~SATURDAY: Springers will start the day at 8:00 a.m. followed by the first series of Cockers.

~There is no training on the grounds.

~BLAZE ORANGE CLOTHING ABOVE THE WAIST IS REQUIRED FOR ANYONE ON THE FIELD TRIAL GROUNDS.

~SMOKING IS NOT PERMITTED IN THE FIELD

DRAWINGS/RUNNING ORDER

Drawings will take place at Huntsecretary.com 8:00 AM ET on 2/21/2023. The Running Order will be electronically randomized and adjusted slightly to accommodate handlers running multiple dogs.

Scratches prior to closing date will be refunded by HuntSecretary.com.
 
After the closing date, all scratches will be handled based on the Club Scratch Policy specified below.

I (we) certify and represent that the dog entered is not a hazard to persons or other dogs.
